Monica Kirchmayr

She graduated from the E.U.Nordio Institute of Art in Trieste in 1996 and started working in the field of interior decoration as a freelancer in the same year. At the same time he participates in several collective and ex-tempore exhibitions of the Triveneto. In 2002 he successfully inaugurated his first solo exhibition and in 2003 the second solo exhibition at the municipal exhibition hall of Trieste. Since 2000 he has been working as a theatre set designer for the Triestine dialect and ballet companies. In 2014 , 2016 and 2018 he received the Armonia Award for best scenography of the theatre season. In 2004 she opened her own show-room in the centre of Trieste (a space-showcase with a different and innovative concept compared to traditional art galleries); permanent exhibition of her work and meeting point for spectators. In 2005 she specialized in painting for the cinema scene, working in Giuseppe Tornatore’s film "La sconosciuta", shot in Trieste. In 2008 he enriched his technical knowledge following a course of etching held by the master Furio de Denaro. In 2011 he published his first catalogue, the first official print of a thousand copies documenting all the work carried out since 1996. 2014 is full of events and confirmations, wins in Rome the first place at the Prize "Hands to create", exhibits at the collective "Italian Art Exhibition" at the Crypt Gallery in London.

Participates in numerous national and international collective: Perugia, Monza, Venice,Padua, Genoa, London , Nice, Luxembourg, Barcelona, Croatia, Istria. In 2015 he presents his third solo exhibition, the collection entitled "Le Interferenze", which focuses on the influence that the evolution of telephone technology has had on communication and human relationships. In this collection appear the first semi-installations and installations, ie presents the copy of the legendary telephone booth, now disappeared in the city.
